Job Title: Media Tech Support
Location: Remote (Brazil / Mexico / Costa Rica)
Employment Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities
Support file-based media workflows and respond to technical support requests.Troubleshoot issues related to transcoding, AutoQC, content delivery, storage, networking, and cloud platforms.Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve incidents and perform root cause analysis.Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and escalation procedures.Monitor and support media encoding and transcoding platforms.
Requisitos
Strong understanding of video, audio, subtitles, and media supply chain workflows.Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments.Familiarity with Jira and Slack.Experience with APIs, JSON, XML, and command-line tools.Knowledge of media containers (MOV, MXF, MP4, MPEG-TS) and codecs (H.264, H.265, ProRes, AAC, AC3, EAC3).Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.Strong communication, troubleshooting, and customer support skills.
Nice to Have
Cloud-based transcoding experience.Knowledge of IMF, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos.Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Perl, or Ruby.Experience with subtitle and caption formats (SRT, VTT, SCC, TTML, etc.).Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
3+ years of experience in media technology, media operations, or technical support.Bachelor's degree preferred.
