We’re hiring: Regional Industry 4.0 Project Manager

Are you passionate about the convergence between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT)? Do you want to digitalize industrial processes through SCADA, Historian, MES, and broader Industry 4.0 initiatives?

Magotteaux is recruiting a Regional Industry 4.0 Project Manager to drive regional deployment and governance across our South America manufacturing plants:

Position — South America, Minas Gerais

Preferred location: Contagem/MG✈️ Travel: ~ 5 days/month (Europe + occasional worldwide) Flexible remote work possible depending on the requirements of the activities

What you will do

Define requirements and oversee the deployment of SCADA, MES, process historians, and other industrial digitalization systems, working in close collaboration with plant managers, automation engineers, and IT/OT teams.

Manage vendors and system integrators throughout technical specifications, installation, and delivery validation.

Own and maintain the regional digitalization roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and local factory needs.

Enforce OT cybersecurity best practices and corporate IT/OT architecture standards across the region.

Develop strategies for the monitoring, administration, and security of OT infrastructure—ranging from PLCs and SCADA to servers, switches, and edge devices.

Collaborate with data science and engineering teams on IoT, AI, computer vision, robotics, and cloud initiatives.

Lead CAPEX and budget planning for Industry 4.0 projects, presenting investment proposals and results to executive leadership.

What we’re looking for

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Solid experience in industrial automation.Hands-on knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA, alongside a proven track record of MES implementation.Solid understanding of IT/OT integration, budget management, and cross-functional collaboration.Familiarity with IoT, AI, computer vision, robotics, or cloud technologies is a plus.Certifications in IT security or governance, as well as experience with SAP integration, are highly welcome additions.

Languages

Proficiency in English is required; Portuguese and Spanish are a significant asset.

Ideally located near our manufacturing plant in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais), Brazil.

Willingness to travel approximately 5 days per month to plants in Chile (Til Til and Antofagasta) and beyond.
