Business Development Manager | International Trading

Location: São Paulo, Brazil (Home Office with frequent travel)

Language Requirement: Fluent English

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven professional to lead business development activities in Brazil and support the expansion of an international trading operation in the local market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the company’s presence in the Brazilian market;
  • Identify, prospect, and build relationships with new customers and strategic partners;
  • Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities;
  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage the sales cycle;
  • Act as the company’s representative in Brazil with customers, suppliers, and business partners;
  • Support the development and execution of the Brazil business plan;
  • Work closely with international headquarters to implement commercial strategies and market development initiatives;
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities;
  • Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, and business events both locally and internationally;
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales pipeline, and market opportunities;
  • Coordinate shipments, import/export documentation, and international logistics processes;
  • Contribute to the growth of the Brazilian operation and the future development of a local team.

Requisitos

  • Bachelor’s degree completed;
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Trading, Import/Export, International Business, or Business Development;
  • Strong experience in B2B commercial negotiations;
  • Practical knowledge of Incoterms, international logistics, shipping procedures, and trade documentation;
  • Fluent English (mandatory);
  • Availability for domestic and international travel;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently;
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills;
  • Results-oriented and proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in raw materials, packaging, plastic resins, aluminum, paper, or food ingredients industries;
  • Experience working in multinational or international business environments;
  • Proven track record in market expansion and business development initiatives.
