## Role description
This is a **remote, freelance role for a senior backend Python developer**. You will work with other members of an agile team to write server-side logic and integrate front-end elements.
No agencies, please. Only individuals.
Payment is per hour worked. Hourly value dependent on your demonstrable experience. All work is remote.
This is a ~3-month-long position with a good chance of extending further.
## Technologies involved
- the Python language, with typing annotations
- SQLAlchemy (the Python ORM)
- the Starlette web framework (basis of FastAPI)
- the Pyramid web framework (legacy for us)
- git
## Requisites
- Fluent English.
- Committed to working 40h per week.
- Experience with back-end development and database design.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
- Deep knowledge about security and scalability of web apps.
- Interest in the themes of software architecture, open source and agile.
- Interest in pair programming.
- Attention to detail and precision in the use of language.
- Good communication: you don't disappear, you don't shun video calls, you are present in our Discord group while working, you ask for help when needed, you write on kanban cards to provide insight into your work and you spontaneously provide advice when you see the opportunity.
