Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP ePPDS Consultant / Architect to join a globally distributed delivery team supporting complex automotive manufacturing operations. This senior-level role is responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, configuration, and deployment of SAP ePPDS (Embedded Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling) solutions within SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in fast-paced environments with limited existing documentation, taking ownership of solution design, configuration, deployment, and knowledge transfer activities. The position requires collaboration with global stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones while leading both functional and technical workstreams throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SAP ePPDS implementations and global rollout initiatives across Mexico, North America, and Europe.
  • Design, configure, and optimize ePPDS master data, including Production Process Models (PPMs), resources, production versions, work centers, routings, capacity planning models, scheduling strategies, and bucket planning.
  • Configure and manage detailed scheduling boards, planning heuristics, optimization runs, sequencing strategies, and production scheduling processes.
  • Support integration between SAP ePPDS and SAP S/4HANA modules, including PP, MM, SD, and PM, ensuring end-to-end process alignment and data integrity.
  • Configure and support repetitive manufacturing (REM) and rate-based planning processes within automotive manufacturing environments.
  • Conduct business workshops, requirement gathering sessions, fit-gap analyses, and solution design discussions with key stakeholders.
  • Operate effectively in low-documentation environments, creating comprehensive process, configuration, and solution documentation when required.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live activities, hypercare support, and production stabilization efforts.
  • Deliver user training, knowledge transfer sessions, and operational readiness programs to ensure long-term solution sustainability.
  • Provide functional leadership and guidance throughout the full SAP project lifecycle, from discovery and design through deployment and post-go-live support.

Required Qualifications

Language Skills

  • Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is required.
  • Candidates who do not meet this bilingual requirement will not be considered.

SAP ePPDS Expertise

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on SAP ePPDS implementation and configuration experience.
  • Strong expertise in Production Process Models (PPMs), resources, scheduling horizons, planning strategies, bucket planning, and detailed scheduling boards.
  • Proven experience designing and supporting complex production planning and scheduling solutions.

SAP Landscape Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working within SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP S/4HANA Enterprise Cloud (S/4 HEC) environments.
  • Strong understanding of SAP manufacturing and supply chain integration processes.

Industry Experience

  • Solid background in automotive manufacturing operations and production planning processes.
  • Hands-on experience supporting repetitive manufacturing (REM) and rate-based planning environments.

Project Delivery

  • Proven success delivering full SAP project lifecycles, including Blueprint/Explore, Design, Build, Testing, Deployment, Go-Live, and Hypercare phases.
  • Experience leading global deployments involving multiple regions and stakeholder groups.

Documentation & Process Excellence

  • Ability to work effectively in environments with limited existing documentation.
  • Experience creating business process documentation, functional specifications, training materials, and solution documentation from the ground up.

Travel

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately one week per month to client facilities located in Mexico, North America, and Europe.
