Our client is seeking a project finance and project controls SME to advise on drawdown management and lender reporting for a large greenfield industrial infrastructure project in Brazil.

The client is looking for a hands-on expert who has practical experience with lender drawdown processes, project finance documentation, CAPEX tracking, S-curves, and reporting requirements for complex capital projects. The advisor will help design the process, templates, controls, and documentation workflow needed to support quarterly lender reporting and tranche disbursement.

This is a part-time SME advisory role, not an executive finance role. The ideal candidate will bring direct experience from large industrial, infrastructure, engineering, banking, or project finance environments, with strong knowledge of how lender reporting packages are reviewed, challenged, and approved.

Key Responsibilities

Advise on the design of the drawdown management and lender reporting process for a large greenfield capital project.Help define the documentation workflow, templates, controls, and internal approval process needed for quarterly lender submissions.Provide practical guidance on preparing and reviewing lender reporting packages, including construction progress reporting, disbursement certificates, compliance certificates, and supporting documentation.Advise on how to align CAPEX tracking, S-curve progress, physical progress, and financial reporting.Help anticipate questions from lenders, facility agents, Independent Engineers, auditors, and other review parties before submission.Provide guidance on covenants, conditions precedent, and documentation requirements that typically impact drawdown approvals.Support the consulting team by pressure-testing the process and identifying potential gaps or risks in the drawdown package.Bring practical experience from prior greenfield industrial infrastructure projects financed through banks, multilateral lenders, or development finance institutions.

Ideal Candidate

Former project controller, project finance professional, drawdown manager, infrastructure finance banker, or project controls SME with hands-on experience in large capital projects.Direct experience with project finance drawdown processes, lender reporting, disbursement packages, compliance certificates, and supporting documentation.Strong working knowledge of CAPEX trackers, S-curves, construction progress reporting, and project controls.Experience working with lenders, facility agents, Independent Engineers, auditors, or development finance institutions.Experience with large greenfield industrial infrastructure projects, such as energy, oil & gas, mining, pulp and paper, steel, or other heavy industrial sectors.Experience with multilateral or development finance institutions such as IFC, BNDES, or similar lenders preferred.Portuguese fluency requiredPrior Brazil experience required
