Job Title: Drive Test Engineer / Drive Tester
Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Duration: Initial 1-month contract with possible extension for an additional 2 months or longer based on project requirements.
LanceSoft is seeking an experienced Drive Test Engineer / Drive Tester to support a field-testing project in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting wireless and satellite drive testing, collecting network logs, troubleshooting field issues, and providing accurate test reports while working independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Perform drive testing activities according to defined routes and testing procedures.Operate and configure XCAL drive-testing tools for data collection and performance analysis.Conduct wireless and satellite beam testing in field environments.Collect, validate, and upload test logs for engineering review.Troubleshoot basic network and testing-related issues during field operations.Coordinate with remote engineering and project teams to resolve technical concerns.Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of testing activities.Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety standards, and testing guidelines.Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Drive Test Engineer, Drive Tester, RF Engineer, or Field Test Engineer.Hands-on experience with XCAL drive-testing tools.Strong knowledge of telecom, RF, wireless, and network testing methodologies.Experience with drive testing, log collection, and field measurement activities.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong communication and reporting skills.Valid driver's license.Mandatory Requirements
Must own a reliable vehicle and be comfortable using it for project-related drive testing.Must be available to travel within the assigned testing regions of Rio de Janeiro.Ability to work outdoors and perform extensive field-testing activities.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LTE, 4G, 5G, NR, VoLTE, or satellite communication testing.Familiarity with telecom network performance optimization and troubleshooting.Experience working with global telecom deployment or field-testing projects.
Vehicle & Expense Reimbursement
The selected engineer will utilize their own vehicle for project activities. Approved project-related expenses including:
Fuel/GasToll chargesRequired project tools and equipment (as applicable)will be reimbursed according to project guidelines.
