Senior Infrastructure / DR Engineer (VMware + Storage)
Location: Remote
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Infrastructure / Disaster Recovery Engineer to support and optimize large-scale VMware environments. This role will focus on cluster performance, storage optimization, and ensuring strong disaster recovery readiness across the infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead advanced VMware administration, including cluster optimization and performance tuning
- Analyze and improve host performance, datastore utilization, and VM distribution across environments
- Support disaster recovery testing and execute failover activities to validate system resilience
- Validate backup integrity, restore processes, and replication consistency across platforms
- Perform capacity modeling to ensure DR readiness and scalability
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and performance issues across compute and storage layers
Required Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with VMware environments
- Strong expertise in HA and DRS tuning and optimization
- Experience working with enterprise storage platforms including SAN and Nimble
- Proven background in disaster recovery planning, testing, and backup validation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale or enterprise environments
- Familiarity with DR tools and replication technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-availability environments
